Happy Holidays!

I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving filled with family, food and fun. I'm getting that "Christmas feeling," with all the carols being played on the radio. "Little Drummer Boy," by Bob Seger is still my all-time favorite, followed closely by "O Holy Night," by Josh Groban! Currently, I'm enjoying the reviews of "A Dark Night in Paris," and I've sent off a few stories for various contests and short story requests. "Act One," and "Hero," are a couple of the really good ones. Thank you all for you lovely letters. I do apprecitate them all! Best, Andrea

Happy Halloween!

Greetings on All Hallow's Eve! It has been a very long time since I've been able to post. Unfortunately, real life has reared its ugly head and caused quite an uproar. I'm hoping that things will now move a little smoother not only for me, but for so many others that are struggling right now. Now, on to much happier things...I have four books out now. All have been published through Venus Press! ***waves to Tracey and the gang!*** The books are as follows: 'Style of a Lifetime, Safe Haven, Miami Desire, and last but NOT least...A Dark Night in Paris, which is my very first paranormal romance. I'm very happy to say that Venus Press chose it to be a part of their "All Hallow's Eve" series. All books have gotten very nice reviews and I'm hoping to update my website soon. I was very happy to be a part of a fun Halloween chat earlier in the month, and I want to thank all that participated and I do appreciate all the support I've received with my books. Currently, I'm editing The Professor, which I've been working on since 2002. It is my very first baby, and I love this book so much. Thanks go to Alan Rickman for the inspiration! And...speaking of Alan Rickman, if you are a fan, please go visit a fantastic Yahoo group: Alan Rickman World of Writers and More (ARWOW) http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/AlanRickmanWorldOfWritersAndMore/ There are so many wonderfully creative writers there, that I can't possibly even begin to name them all. My other books, Glimpse of Hope, Man in Black and Voice of an Angel, have all been put on hold. I've just had too many irons in the fire for too long. I would like to announce that I've been chosen to be in a collection of Erotica. The contest was held by Better Sex Fiction, and my story, Flying at Night was one of the select few that has been chosen. The story will be in hardback, as well as audio cd. I'm very excited by this, especially since the story was chosen out of thousands! I think this has caught everyone up so far, if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to e-mail me at any time: andrea@andreaglenn.net Best Regards, and please have a very safe and Happy Halloween! Boo to you! Andrea

Great News!

Greetings! I would like to begin this post by saying I apoligize for not updating the blog in such a very long time. I've been very busy, but I do want to thank you all for you lovely letters and I promise I will get to each and every one. Now, first on the list of news is, "Venus Press," has just contracted me for a book in their new "Confessions" series. The novel is entitled "Style of A Lifetime," and it is about a young woman that goes to Europe to attend an international hair and make-up show. While there, she meets a handsome and charming stylist, and the sparks fly! After the competition, the couple go to a local pub, and then on to his place. I can't go into much detail after that, or it would just spoil everything, but suffice to say...the book is a sensual romance that is extremely erotic. Please keep your eyes open here, on my website at www.andreaglenn.net, and at www.venuspress.com for more information regarding the purchase of the book. Second on the list of news is "Glimpse of Hope," is now ready, but, I'm not exactly sure where to send it. I may have to re-work it since it is not exactly what you would call a happy ending, although I was planning the book to have three parts in total and a happy ending...eventually. I want to thank author, Jesse Damien for her expert editing work, support and friendship throughout the process. Also, thank you, Jesse, for the title. I always have "issues" with titles! Okay, third on the list of news, "Voice of an Angel," is still a work in progress. It's coming along well, but striving for at least 70,000 words is much harder than I thought. My experience since writing romance has been the short one-shots. So, "Voice," is a lovely challenge. In speaking with Jesse, who is also editing this novel, I mentioned the hero in the book, David, has almost come to life. She said sometimes when she writes, her muse feels as though he/she is breathing down her neck, and I'm so glad she said this, because I can now admit, that I feel that way too. David can be so needy, yet so sexy at the same time. Fourth on the list of catching up..."The Professor," is still in the back of my mind. Thank you all for asking about it. Since it is my baby, I'm going to have to go extra slow with it, but...I'm thinking about another confession for "Venus Press." It is about a hot little tryst on a beach in Miami. I've asked my writing group to help me with a title. I will post all the information regarding it and anything else that comes up.
